My Japanese Room...

That new blog will be about my Home Theater and movies review i will do with it :)

Its my 4th Home Theater, by Home Theater i don't mean having a set of speakers in a box plugged to a TV or DVD... 

For me the "Home Theater" expression always meant you have a Video Projector.

There is now some very big flat TV but... for me its not the same feeling at all... a TV is a TV... even big.. the image is very different from a projected image... i will have occasion to talk about it again but just to explain a bit my feeling, TV image is "Aggressive" (as it need to be able to be used in full daylight...and as it need to be used for not only movies but also anything else...) and Good projector image is "gentle" and easy to watch, like at Cinema. Its just the Best way to watch movies...

So to start :) 

I decided to make my 4th home theater ! :) 

That one is special for me as its my first home theater in Japan ! 

Many things are different from my home country... 

First thing is rooms are smaller... 

Then next thing is because of that REAL Home Theater is not so much developed in Japan and so its more difficult to get advice and to find all you need to make it... 

Also very strangely many Projector, Amp (even Japaneses ones) are more expensive in Japan... probably because not so many peoples buy that, flat TV is more popular... 

So anyway after many weeks of planing i could decide which components i wanted for my Home Theatre i will talk about it a bit later.
Also some things will need to be DIY. And some problems will need solutions like the fact that its impossible to fix the Projector on the ceiling...

After thinking of making it in the Leaving Room i finally decided to make my home theater in a smaller room. A Japaneses room (with Tatami...). 

Even it made it a bit more difficult, using that room had many advantages... 

It will be used only to watch Movies and so i could tune every detail of the room for ONLY that purpose... it mean i will be able to completely blackout that room, tune the walls to help get the best sound possible, i will be able to also cut a bit outside noise too etc etc.... 

And having a room just for that is really cool and necessary to get a really good result as close as possible as real Cinema. Its just impossible in a Living Room. 

For Most part i try to Reach and Apply the rules of THX Standard for home theater when possible. 

Some are directly imported from real cinema rules and some are adapted for Home Theater (especially as home theater rooms are not 200m2 rooms ... ).

My room is small but i will do my best :)

Yeah well... it seemed impossible... but iam pretty sure i will make it :) but it need lots of work and planning... -_-
